The Creative Space is now accepting submissions for the second-annual smOffice contest. The contest is open to entrepreneurs who want start-up support from local experts.
This year’s contest will feature three entrepreneurs, along with $60,000 in prizes, professional advice, office space and seed funding.
“We’re looking for creative entrepreneurs who want to launch their great idea within a collaborative startup community,” Creative Space owner Chad Ballantyne said. “We can accelerate their business in ways they could never do on their own.”
Each 2016 contest winner will be set up in Canada’s smallest office, steps from Barrie’s waterfront, receive $1,000 in seed funds, mentorship from Profit Top 50 companies, access to a Sonders e-bike for transportation and deliveries of Topper’s Pizza to fuel the creative process. In addition, the out-of-town winner will be set up with six months of free accommodation.
Applications are being accepted until April 15, with the winners moving here May 1.
Last year’s smOffice winner, Shelby Taylor, recently released her Chickapea Pasta to the market.
